Who is Matthew LeFace?

Matthew LeFace is the man behind that beat.
Born in Buffalo, New York and growing up in Los Angeles, Matthew has given music new life. He has already gained some impressive recognition. Supported by some of the most influential in the industry; Axwell, Sander Van Doorn, Paul Oakenfold, Laidback Luke, Thomas Gold, Markus Schulz, Joachim Garraud and a plethora of others.
In 2012 alone, he has had some astonishing success. His original track “If You Would” hit #1 in the progressive charts and #1 overall on Beatport as well as releasing chart topping releases on Mixmash, Perfecto, and Armada.
2013 has already started off with a bang with the re-release of “If You Would” on Spinninʼ Records which included a massive remix package in early February, and to date it has again reached top 10 on Beatport. Matthew has several slated releases including his “Outlawz EP” on Dutch Superstar DJ Laidback Lukeʼs label, Mixmash, as well as several releases on Spinninʼ Records and Ultra Records.
Fans are demanding Matthew LeFace as well. His original mixtape, “Who the F*ck is LeFace” has over a quarter million plays and 50,000 downloads. But it doesnʼt stop there. Already this year, Matthewʼs signature style remixes of artists like Katy Perry and Britney Spears have been favorites among DJʼs and club-goers alike. Clearly, Matthew is making a name for himself, and people are paying attention.
Matthewʼs versatility and skill as a producer in both the mainstream pop and house music scene is what has propelled him to the forefront of his profession. Primarily a self-taught producer, Matthew works across many genres and has had many great influences. But the pivotal moment that really grabbed a hold of him came in 2008 when a friend invited him out one night in Los Angeles to check out an up-and-coming artist by the name of Deadmau5, who at the time was relatively unknown except by dance music enthusiasts.

It was then that his true style was realized. Dance music was, and is, the future. Shortly after that, Matthew gained the attention of his mentor and now friend, Morris Hayes. Morris has not only been the keyboardist and producer for Prince for 21 years, but is also considered an authority and an icon in the music world. And he helped introduce Matthew to a whole new level of performance.
In addition to his DJ gigs and a busy production schedule, Matthew also enjoys working with undiscovered talent from around the globe. He has been known to spot emerging artists, from songwriters to musicians. He offers them direction, keeps them on his radar for future projects, as well as putting them in touch with labels and producers. The goal is to give the world of music something fresh and authentic.
Armed with a slew of original tracks and remixes, and with support from the worldʼs top DJʼs, artists & labels, along with new management, Matthew is continuing to storm the music world in 2013 and beyond.
